Learners of cambridge International DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL,
Pushpanjali Enclave, Delhi Celebrated Science week as part of
'World Science Day for Peace and Development 'with the theme Open Science,
Leaving no one behind.
Students participated in many activities that
opened the domain of scientific data, result and opinions. Learners of class
III did the activity in which they observed 'walking water'to understand the
concept of capillary action and also made the sliding card to understand various
phases of moon. Learners of class VII compared the reactivity of different
metals (Aluminium, Zinc, iron, Copper) , also through the class board
they showed the concern about rising air pollution level, reasons behind it,
its short term and long term effects, the ways of prevention and precautions we
can take to lessen its effects. Learners of Class 8 observed the
concentration of reactants that affects the rate of reaction by studying the
reaction of sodium thiosulfate and sulfuric acid.
