Simulation Activity- Refraction, Dispersion and Reflection

 

Learners of class VII Cambridge International DAVPS, Pushpanjali enclave learnt reflection, refraction and dispersion of light using Simulations.

They measured the intensity of light , angle of light rays through the apparatus given in the simulation, also they used prism and light to view dispersion.

This makes the concept to be learnt in a more easy and fun way. 
 

Simulation activity- Balancing chemical equations

 

 

Learners of class VIII DAVPS Cambridge International, pushpanjali enclave learnt balancing of chemical equations using Simulations. They told the numbers which are required to balance a particular chemical equation and after that we checked if it is correct or not. 

They learnt balancing in a more fun way and also grasp the concept.  

Trade and Aid Collaboration Activity

 

Leraners of class VII as a part of their Global perspectives collaboration skill , performed padlet activity in which they had been given 500 euros and UNICEF website link was provided to them which gives the amount of aid that is needed for a particular project such as cataract operation, provision of water , providing education to girl child , giving them books.

They have to utilise their 500 euros and divide their money to spent on different aid projects. After writing donations they discussed and agreed on a particular division of cost.

Class VIII Investigating growth in seeds

 

Learners of class VIII DAVPS Cambridge International, Pushpanjali enclave performed an activity of investigating growth in seeds.

They took seeds and tested them for starch , also they put the seeds in a glass with moist tissue paper and observed for 6 days. They measured the time at which the growth started and measured the height each day. 

CLASS- VII Factors affecting Rusting of Iron Activity

 

Learners of class VII DAVPS Cambridge international , Performed the activity in which they investigated the factors that affect rusting of iron.

They have tested four conditions - Temperature, Acid , Salt, normal water in which rusting occurs and then compare the results with normal water. 

Throught this activity they understood that temperature, salt , acid conditions will increase the rate of rusting.

Science class discussion (20 August 2020)

 

Learners of stage VIII AND IX of DAVPS Cambridge international pushpanjali enclave , discussed in todays class about smoking and its harmful effects and to make the formula of a compound to write in a balanced chemical equation .

It was a wonderful session and students participated in the class with immense interest.
