Modelling Structure of DNA

 Learners of Stage -9 performed an activity of modelling the structure of DNA. They used straws of four different colors, black tape, cello tape, scissors for this activity. They cut the straws into small pieces of 10cm and join two different color straws. They made two sets of straws representing nitrogenous bases. Then students pasted the straws on black tape representing sugar phosphate backbone. The activity was an amazing experience. 

Science Activity- Investigation of local habitat

 

Students of class 7 performed an activity of investigating local habitat by sampling using quadrat method.  They made quadrat using cardboard of 10 mX10 m. Students went to science park of school. They placed quadrat in 8 sampling sites randomly chosen by them, Counted the no. of different species present there and calculated the density.
