Diwali celebration of Class VIII

 

Learners of Stage-9 celebrated Diwali with immense pleasure. They worshipped goddess Laxmi and Ganesha on this Occassion, Donated food, made Rangoli, Played musical chair, shared sweets with teachers and other class students. The day was making children a lot more familiar with the values of sharing and honesty. 

Modelling the structure of DNA

 

Learners of Stage-9 made DNA using straws and tape. They modelled the base pairs and undesrtood the shape of double helix. The Activity was making learners much more clear about the shape of DNA. 

Investigating Local Habitat using quadrat method of sampling ( CLASS - VII ACTIVITY)

 

Learners of Class VII investigated local habitat for various species. They used quadrat method of sampling , they put quadrat at 3 random places and count the no. of species of grasses and other herbs in the quadrat area. They collected the data in a result table and plotted the graph to analyse the most frequent species in the science park of school. Learners understood the concept of sampling through the activity easily. 

Investigating continuous variation in the classroom, STAGE-9 ACTIVITY

 

Learners of class- VIII Performed investigated Continuous Variation. They took off their shoes and stand against the wall. They placed a scale on top of their head and used a tape to measure the height of the mark. They collected height of all in the class and stated range then designed the groups for the measurements, drawn tally chart of the data, presented results in bar graph. Made conclusions about which heights are most common.
