Happy Republic Day 2021

 

India celebrates Republic Day annually on 26 January, and this year the country will celebrate its 72nd Republic Day to mark the day India became a sovereign republic. While India gained independence from the British in 1947, but it wasn't until 26 January 1950 that the Indian Constitution came into effect and India became a sovereign state, declaring it a republic. This day is celebrated with much pomp and fervour all over India, and in India's capital Delhi, parades, tableaus and spectacular displays by the defense forces are showcased at Rajpath. The Indian flag is also hoisted all over the country.

Happy Lohri 2021

 

Lohri is the celebration of the arrival of longer days after the winter solstice. According to folklore, in ancient times Lohri was celebrated at the end of the traditional month when winter solstice occurs. It celebrates the days getting longer as the sun proceeds on its northward journey.

Learners of Class VII Celebrated lohri with great enthusiasm, they sang beautiful songs and performed dance on lohri.

National Youth Day is celebrated on January 12 every year since 1985 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

He was a key figure in the introduction of the Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world, and has played a major role in reviving India’s image as a land of spirituality.

Swami Vivekananda's weapons of winning the world were education and peace. He always portrayed himself as a 'Nationalist Saint' who wanted the youth to get out of their comfort zones and achieve absolutely anything they desire.

He was known for his prodigious memory and the ability at speed reading. Once, he requested some books written by Sir John Lubbock from a library and returned them the very next day claiming that he had read them. The librarian refused to believe him until cross examination about the contents convinced him that Vivekananda was being truthful.
